Our calibration personnel have served an average of 15 years in our facility and are well-versed in the calibration procedures used at the National Institute of Standards and Technology ( NIST ) as well as being involved in extensive continuing education programs.

ERTCO's state-of-the-art metrology laboratory is capable of calibrating enclosed scale, solid-stem, mercury and organic filled glass thermometers with ranges from -200 to +400 degrees Centigrade (-328 to 750 degrees Fahrenheit).

This metrology lab is equipped with complete sets of liquid-in-glass primary standards calibrated at NIST, and primary standard sets with DKD calibration accredited by the German counterpart of NIST, the PTB.

These multiple sets of standards give us the ability to calibrate both North American and European specifications. All of our calibration baths are equipped with electronic SPRT thermometers that are traceable to both the NIST and DKD.

We have computerized data storage systems to store all the calibration records for each instrument calibrated as well as registering the owner of the instrument. Owner registration allows us to send notices to the instrument user when it is time for an instrument to be recalibrated and communicate any actions taken by the International Committee of Weights and Measures or other relevant organizations that may affect the use of a particular instrument.
